Hi beauties and welcome back to my blog.
Today I want to share with you a very simple and quick DIY Facial Scrub. No matter what your skin type is, this scrub will help you achieve a more even complexion, reduce scars and fight skin aging.
All you need for this recipe are 4 ingredients:
1 table spoon of Raw Honey,
1 table spoon of Olive Oil,
Few drops of Lemon juice
1 table spoon of Sugar.
Let us first understand why these ingredients are good for our skin!
Olive Oil: It is going to help enhance your exfoliation as it penetrates deeply into the skin while providing a cleansing effect. Unlike some commercial moisturizers, olive oil doesn't clog pores and acts like a perfect moisturizing that is going to add an amazing glow to your skin, protect it from external agression and prevent it from aging early . It can even be used as a very effective makeup remover!
Lemon Juice: It has brightening properties and it helps minimise scars, age spots or any discoloration on your skin. It also fights pimples and black heads reducing their apparence and preventing them from coming back again.
Sugar (Caster or white Sugar): The glycolic acid in sugar is effective in scraping away the layer of dead cells on your skin and promotes the regeneration of new cells. Exfoliating using sugar prevents the skin from being dry and keeps it smooth and silky.
Note: If your skin is super sensitive, you can choose to switch sugar with Rice Flower or Coffee Grounds...
Now that we know better, lets make the scrub.
Start by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl.
Once you are happy with the consistency, apply the mask on your clean skin.
Wait for 10 to 15 minutes.
Dip your fingers into warm water and start really gently and carefully massaging your skin for a couple of minutes.
Finally, rinse thoroughly with water and DO NOT forget to moisturize your skin after taking off the mask.
Use this once or twice every week and you will visibly notice a dramatic change in your skin after a month or so.
This scrub is also perfect for your lips and hands!!!
You can store your mixture in a glass container in your fridge for about a week.
Hope you liked it and remember that your smile is always the best make up!
I will be posting every weekend so please stay tuned for more and help me be part of this beautiful "blogging world" by following and sharing my blog.
